Posted by Her on November 6, 2009 When receiving an invitation to a private tasting at a mountainous Napa Valley winery I read the fine print, “comfortable shoes and attire recommend,” and so of course chose my red strapless Topshop frock and Mui Mui heels.
I did bring back-up. And don’t those shiny patent leather heels look lovely next to the Cabernet Sauvignon vines?
After the tour (read: hiking around Mt. Veeder) and generous slurping of delicious Rubissow wines, I hopped onto the tire swing in the yard–dressed in my more practical (but still stylish) footwear.
